Sarah Witty on politics and the media
Sarah Witty was elected in 2025 as the federal Member for Melbourne. Her priorities in parliament include housing, health care and children – but no politician can avoid the growing importance of the media as a political issue, from hate speech legislation to quotas for Australian production.
Whether or not you are in the Melbourne electorate, this is an opportunity to discuss the importance of media policy with a new parliamentarian. Sarah Witty will be in conversation with Dr Jennifer Bowen, before an audience Q & A.
This is a free event but please register beforehand.
