Last Sunday weatherwise was a great day for the festival which ran from 10am to 5pm. The Boroondara and Eastern Groups had a very good day - generating quite a deal of interest.

We had a large team and it should be hugely thanked for the day's success - Jo, Jill, Anne, Helen, Lyndy and the two Ians, Glenn Andrea, Robyn, Angela, Jenny and Derek.

The draw card was an open letter to David Anderson from the groups expressing our disappointment for the loss of The Drum and and the loss of experienced staff. A big thank you to Robyn Weir who managed to obtain a drum and to Jill Newton playing it, attracting people who were very happy to sign the letter. (signatures still being collected)

A special thanks goes to Derek who carted the materials to and fro from the festival.

We had plenty of flyers, pens, bookmarks and T-shirts on the stall, not forgetting the Bluey Mascot. The card machine and the new pull-up signs are real pluses. Suggestions to be put to the Central Committee like kids' bookmarks and bigger signs promoting various ABC genres came from those helping out.
