As you would be aware, there will be a by-election in your electorate on 1 April, 2023. As the campaigning begins, ABC Friends want to convince all candidates that strongly supporting the ABC is in their interest.

The current government has committed to 5 year funding which gives some certainty to the ABC, but it is still reeling from years of cuts.

ABC Friends is working hard to ensure all parties commit to our strong, independent, publicly funded broadcaster.

As a valued member of ABC Friends Vic, you are invited to a Zoom meeting at 6:00pm on Thursday, 2 March. We will discuss how small actions – such as displaying a sign on your fence - can make an impact. If there is sufficient interest we can also arrange a face to face meeting to organise some larger actions – such as handing out pamphlets about the ABC and its importance.
