We were thrilled to be part of the excitement at the Willy Lit Fest Hub once again this year. Our volunteers had a fantastic time chatting with book lovers and sharing our passion for the ABC and ABC Friends.

Highlights from the Event

  • Popular Merchandise: Our T-shirts, bookmarks, pens, and stickers were a big hit!
  • New Members: We were delighted to welcome new members to our cause.
  • Fun for All Ages: The giant whale puppet was a highlight, entertaining both adults and children on Sunday.

A huge thank you to our enthusiastic volunteers and the Williamstown Literary Festival for their warm hospitality. We can’t wait for next year’s event!

On behalf of ABC Friends Western Melbourne, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Williamstown Literary Festival Committee for giving us the opportunity to host a stall and engage with fellow enthusiasts of literature and the arts in the West. This year the festival presented 60 conversations, book launches, panels, and workshops. The program ranged from crime fiction, poetry to moving personal accounts. The Williamstown Literary Festival and ABC share a common goal of promoting Australian arts and culture in its diverse forms. The success of events like the Willy Lit Fest highlights the community’s strong appetite for written stories. A special thanks to Vicky Milliken and Sandy Cull for their warm hospitality and ensuring our day was a success.
