Australia needs a bold public broadcaster that presents quality news and original Australian content.
We need a renewed ABC that gives us tough, probing news & current affairs.
Every year the ABC’s reports trigger changes to government policy and major investigations. But in recent years, as funding cuts took their toll on jobs and programs, there has been much less investigative reporting and fewer hard-hitting news stories.
With trust in the media at an all-time low and new threats posed by artificial intelligence, we need a strong public broadcaster more than ever.
The ABC has never been more important.
We're living in a deeply unsettled time. Truth itself is under siege and Australia is not immune from attacks on our democratic institutions.
We need a public broadcaster where all Australians can go, confident that the news they receive will be free from misinformation and lies. We need an ABC for all Australians.
Now is the time to strengthen the ABC.
Hear from the Minister for Communications, Michelle Rowland, the Communications spokesperson for the Greens, Sarah Hanson-Young, prominent campaigner, Thomas Mayo, and past host of Media Watch, Jonathan Holmes.
An invitation has also been sent to the Shadow Minister for Communications, Melissa McIntosh.
Join our rally for a fearless independent ABC. Tell our political leaders that the ABC matters.
